You just found out that your girlfriend thinks she might be pregnant. As a guy, you may feel like you don’t want to, or need to, deal with this decision. That’s why we’re here.

She needs you but you may not know what to do. For example, we frequently hear men say they told their significant other, “I’ll support whatever you decide” thinking that’s what she wants to hear, but you may actually be communicating something completely different to her.

 

These three ideas will help both of you get through this time and make informed decisions about the future.

Try to understand what her fears may be, and resolve to be there for her. It’s important to slow down and take one step at a time. For this reason, Choices Women’s Clinic has been helping couples navigate their pregnancy decisions since 1983.
